The Music Department
Evans River K-12 School has a vibrant Music Department which gives your children the best possible Music Education.
Students have many performance opportunities throughout the year including performance assemblies, gala days, lunchtime concerts, Education Week and in-class tasks.
Students learn through a hands on approach to their practical work and learn important theoretical aspects through fun and informative topics such as Music in the Media(film, radio, television) where they will learn themes such as the X Files, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Addams Family and Popcorn, or as the kids know-it The Crazy Frog theme.
The Music course has been developed to inspire and interest students of all backgrounds through use of multimedia technology, incorporating listening, performing and compositional activites. These are done with up to date keyboards, guitars, bass guitars, drums and the large variety of brass instruments we have for the students on which to learn.
Such is the popularity of Music, Elective courses have run every year since the schools inception.
