Drama is serious fun!
Students in Drama have a lot of fun being creative and engaging their imagination while developing valuable life skills in communication, team work and problem solving.
Enter a world of encahanted forests, mythical creatures, fairy tale characters, gods, goddesses and buffoons. Year 9 students develop skills in improvisation, movement and playbuilding while exploring the elements of drama.
Clowns, puppets, robots and nightmares come alive in Year 10. Students develop skills in playbuilding and scriptwork through the exploration of various theatre styles.
Betrayal, abduction, discrimination and war surface in Years 11 and 12. Senior students develop skills in expressing ideas and situations in dramatic form through an exploration of the elements of production. HSC students participate in contemporary Australian theatre, Tragedy, a group performance and their choice of critical anaysis, design, performance, scriptwriting or video drama.
Evans River Drama students have the opportunity to participate in Crankfest, the Lismore Lantern Parade and school productions and performance nights.
