Creative and Performing Arts
At our school, creativity comes to life through music, visual art, dance and drama. Students explore a range of artistic experiences that build confidence and creativity while celebrating individual expression. Whether performing on stage or creating in the classroom, every student has the chance to shine. We run programs such as the much loved Biennial Family Concert, CAPA Showcase night, Music Tuition and Lunch time Circus Activities.
Biennial Family Concert
One of the most anticipated events in our school calendar is our K-6 Biennial Performance Concert — a vibrant celebration of creativity, collaboration, and student achievement in the Creative and Performing Arts.
Renowned throughout the community, this signature event showcases the incredible artistic talents of our students across all year levels. Students work alongside our specialist CAPA (Creative and Performing Arts) teachers to develop skills in:
- Dance and Choreography
- Circus Arts
- Drama and Stagecraft
- Visual Arts and Design
This comprehensive program not only highlights performance skills but also immerses students in the behind-the-scenes elements of theatre production. From lighting and sound to set design and props, students are given hands-on opportunities to explore all aspects of staging a professional-quality show.
The concert culminates in two memorable performances — a daytime matinee and an evening showcase — giving families the opportunity to enjoy the creativity and dedication of our students in a festive and supportive atmosphere.
Our Biennial Concert is more than a performance; it’s a powerful expression of our school’s commitment to holistic education, fostering confidence, creativity, and a sense of accomplishment in every student.
CAPA Showcase
The CAPA Showcase night is a high light of our school year and a wonderful evening that celebrates the creative and performing arts at our school.
On the night families can enjoy a variety of performances and displays such as:
- Musical performances with our students showcasing their talents through singing or playing instruments.
- Dance routines and drama pieces
- Art exhibitions showcasing paintings, sculptures, digital arwork and textile projects.
- Art competition in which each student can enter and win prizes.
Every performance and artwork represents hours of practice, dedication, passion and teamwork. The pride students feel in sharing what they've created is what makes the evening truly special.
