Our Kindergarten Transition Program is designed to help children and families enjoy a smooth and positive start to school life. The program introduces children to their new learning environment, teachers and classmates through fun, play based activities that build confidence and familiarity.

Kindergarten transition program

Our Kindergarten Transition Program includes a range of special events for children starting school the following year. These events are open to current K–2 students, local preschools, and any child enrolling in Kindergarten.

Key events include:

• Teddy Bears’ Picnic
• Mini-Carnival Sports Day
• NAIDOC Day
• Book week parade
• Bi-annual Family Concert matinee performance

The program concludes with five weekly morning sessions in the Kindergarten classroom, giving future students the chance to meet their teacher and experience school routines—helping ensure a smooth and confident start to school.
