Student Representative Council (SRC) K-12

The SRC plays a vital role in shaping our school, creating opportunities for student involvement, and building pride in the Evans River community.

The Evans River K–12 School Student Representative Council is a dedicated leadership body made up of students from Kindergarten through to Year 12. The SRC provides students with an active voice in school life, promoting student agency, teamwork, and a strong sense of community. Our K–12 model ensures leadership opportunities for all students, with older members supporting younger representatives and modelling the values of respect, responsibility, and integrity.

The purpose of the SRC is to:
  • Represent the views, ideas, and concerns of students across the school
  • Develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Strengthen student voice and participation in school decision-making
  • Promote positive school culture and community spirit
  • Lead and support events, initiatives, and fundraising activities
  • Encourage cooperation and connection between different year groups
  • Contribute to school improvement by identifying needs and proposing solutions
Examples of SRC activities include:
  • Supporting whole-school events such as assemblies, commemorations, and celebrations
  • Organising fundraising days, charity drives, and awareness events
  • Assisting with school formal preparations and serving as ushers
  • Participating in community events such as ANZAC and Remembrance Day ceremonies
  • Leading lunchtime activities, competitions, and student engagement projects
  • Working with staff to improve school facilities, wellbeing initiatives, and the student experience
