Excursions and Special Events

At our school, learning extends beyond the classroom! Students in Years K–6 take part in a variety of exciting excursions and special events that bring their learning to life. Year 5 and 6 students enjoy a camp at Tallebudgera Sport Centre and an educational excursion to Brisbane, while Year 4 students experience an overnight stay at Dorroughby Environmental Centre. Our aspiring writers in Years 3-6 get the opportunity to be inspired on a day excursion each year to the Byron Bay Writers Festival, where they meet authors, explore storytelling and celebrate the joy of writing. Our excited K-2 students visit Tropical Fruit World. These unforgettable experiences help our students grow, explore and make lasting memories.

Special Events through the year:

Mother's Day

Mother's day is a special time at our school when we celebrate and thank the wonderful mothers/carers who support and care for our students every day. Many classes hold a special Mother's Day morning event each year.

Father's Day

Each year we celebrate and thank the amazing dads/carers and father figures who play such an important role in our students' lives. Students enjoy creating handmade cards, thoughtful gifts and organizing activities to enjoy with their dads.

Grandparents day

Grandparents day is a wonderful opportunity for students to celebrate and thank their grandparents and other role models for the love, wisdom and support they give every day. Students proudly show their grandparents around their classrooms and share morning tea together.
